In My Opinion (maybe)

Yesterday was April Fool’s Day. I believe that the presence of prejudice and inequality is painfully evident in the celebration of April Fool’s Day. I really do not think it is fair when the fools of April have a day of celebration for themselves, while all the fools of the rest of the year do not. That just goes to prove, as many people today so loudly advocate, that inequity and discrimination prevail in this world. Who dares to disagree with the fact that All Fools Matter, not just April Fools?

In my opinion, April Fool’s Day should be stricken from the calendar. Furthermore, all monuments that have been erected to honor prominent historical April fools should be torn down. These memorials should be removed from all government facilities and public areas.

Equally important is the impact it can have on our children. Exposure to such blatant bias and intolerance is detrimental to a child’s sense of justice. It has the potential to cause grievous impairment of healthy social development.

Does anyone share my point of view? Am I the only one sensitive to this injustice? Is there no one else who is pained by this bigotry? If you would like to join AFM, feel free to contact me at this number — BR 549.
