Perspective changes with life experiences. So does knowledge. The less life experiences I have the more I know, or the more I perceive that I know. It is very easy to make a decision when I look at the state of affairs from one side, one direction, or one point of view. But the more perspectives I have the better view I have of the scene from all directions. Then, the less likely I am to make a decision that I am totally confident in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Looking back, I am amazed at how smart I was when I was younger. Before age granted me so much knowledge and experience, I could look at anyone and explain the “why” of their situation. In addition, I could recommend the “how” to correct the problem. Oh, for the days when life was so simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would not want to be a judge. I do not have that kind of decision-making ability. Sure, I can look at all sides of an issue. However, each side calls for, or suggests, or merits, or requires or will benefit from a different conclusion or resolution. There is no such thing as a perfect solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, am I saying there are no absolute? Not really. I am absolutely certain that there are no absolute answers to conflicting circumstances that will satisfy all parties involved. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then how do I make right choices? How do I decide? How can I know what is the best? I can only achieve confidence in my life choices and decisions, not by more life experiences or more knowledge, but by considering the issue from God’s perspective. How do I do this? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
II Timothy 2:15 tells me how. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.<\/em> The only way I can be confident is through faith in a Holy God and knowledge of his word. The result is that He assumes center of my life and that dictates my perspective. Then I can experience peace in my life.
